SCT’s research is continuous. Ground conditions that resisted standard interpretation have become interpretable through it. Measurement techniques that produced limited data in specific field conditions have been revised so the outputs feed directly into modelling.

  • Definitions of Measured Hydraulic Conductivity Zones above a Longwall Panel

    A field investigation at United Colliery in NSW’s Hunter Valley mapped hydraulic conductivity zones above an extracted, supercritical-width longwall panel (Longwall 10). Five targeted boreholes defined the caving edge and characterised conductivity within and above the caved zone, with the deepest hole reaching 30m above the seam to capture data through most of the subsided overburden.
